Nisarga: Part-2,the aftermath
Nisarga: Part-2,the aftermath
Hey friends, in this blog, I will report you guys about the aftermath or the post-conditions of the Nisarga cyclone. So, talking about this cyclone,it was a really destructive one.
I have watched in the news that in many cities of Maharashtra, this cyclone has caused very much destruction. Talking about Mumbai, there was heavy rainfall having high wind speed and the cyclone has caused heavy wrecking in the city. In Ratnagiri, the weather was so bad that a big and heavy cargo ship in the sea was shaking very badly and was very close to sinking. In Alibaug,a scene was very breathtaking and devastating. The metal roof of a local school was ripped off from its terrace brutally by the high speed winds. So, these were reports of Maharashtra.
Now taking about the state of Gujarat and the union territory of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and in Maharashtra, the city of Palghar, the wind speed remained steady and did not caused much havoc as compared to Mumbai and other cities.
So, now you guys may think that this cyclone was the worst of all the cyclones. But you would be surprised to know that as compared to the wind speed of the amphan cyclone which striked out in the states of Bengal and Odisha was 180-190 km/h whereas this Nisarga cyclone's speed was 120-130km/h. So,it was not very slow but was slower than amphan.
Guys, it's a heartbreaking moment for me to inform you that these types of cyclones would now become very common in the Arabian sea in the foreseeing future. It is largely because of an issue we are facing from many years but still we aren't coming to a solution which actually works out. This problem is pollution. As pollution increases, global warming increases and as a result, the sea temperatures also rise giving a boost to the formation of cyclones. Hence, we need to focus on something to really combat pollution and defeat global warming.
Now, talking about my side, my city is not so much affected by this cyclone but still the wind speed was enough to fell some trees and hoardings at the ground. I was first too much terrified by this cyclone but at the end of the day, my city wasn't too much affected by this cyclone.
